*Managers and employees of a UPS station adopted Visitacion Valley Community Center for 1994-95 where they did volunteer work with children, youth and seniors.

*State Assembly Speaker Willie Brown personally delivered a $50,000 check to the Ella Hill Hutch Community Center on Oct. 28 to continue a successful Midnight Basketball program.

*Visitacion Valley Task Force members expressed their concern with safety in McLaren Park during an Oct. 17 meeting about future development.

*St. James Presbyterian Church planned a Church Fair for November.

*Safety was a topic of discussion at a November meeting of the Hazardous Waste Facility Expansion Advisory Committee at the Korean Presbyterian Church in little Hollywood.

*Visitacion Valley Grapevine published its 100th issue.

*Visitacion Valley Elementary School was selected one of three schools in San Francisco to receive the Honor Roll of Schools awarded by S.F. School Volunteers.
